Alicia Keys Let’s Her Boo Do the Fool!
As if the drama surrounding Swizz Beats and Alicia Keys couldn’t get any more–dramatic. According to NecoleBitchie.com, word on the street is Swizz had Alicia fire key people on her team so that he can control her career. Bad move Alicia. If your homewrecking antics don’t destroy your career, hiring Swizz who has a seemingly short attention span (especially where relationships are concerned), you might want to watch out.
Grown folks will do what they must, but after falling on my derriere at the Essence Music Festival wasn’t reason enough for Alicia to replay her song Karma over and over again, Swizz taking the ropes is sure to knock some sense into her. Since when do producers manage? Or is Swizzy trying to get his hands on that A. Keys money to payback all those taxes he owes?? Hmmm….

Were they stylish…or not?
When one attends a style suite, it is best to be “in-style”. But of course as with any dress code, there are always a few people who don’t get the memo. Apparently many of the guests at the 2010 Espy Awards Style Suite, held at the SLS Hotel and hosted by the Maxi Wade Agency were among that group. And the word “model” should be used sparingly if your style doesn’t fit the bill. Note to aspiring whatevers, the red carpet is your cue to look good or go home.
- Chef Ameera should have cooked up a better outfit.
- Her upper body is too big for this style.
- This girl loves red…dress is ok, but she could lose the gold purse.
- Good effort, not bad.
- Better name, so-so outfit.
- Just NO!
- I wanna like this, but I loathe the cuffed jeans.
- At least the hair and makeup are right.
- Cute dress, bold color, wrong body.
- Interesting.
- The dress is very around the way…and not in a good way.
- Is the green dress bloated?
- She looks good without really trying.
- No to the baby doll socks.
- Probably the best outfit on here.
- Danielle’s skin is flawless.
- Cute dress Kenya, hate the shoes with it.
- Melyssa could stand to lose the shades.
- Can we say “steamer”?
- I immediately thought of MySpace when I saw this dress.
- Jeanette did a’ight.
- The reason why I’ll be watching football again this fall.
- Very cute, very chic.
- Finally, someone has a little style!
- The color would be nice…if it were on another outfit.
- Too short, too tight, too revealing.
Fantasia in The Color Purple…sort of!
Always one for shock value, singer Fantasia made an appearance for a meet and greet at a Lucky’s Bar & Grill in Detroit. She even took a moment to play pool. But that’s not the interesting part. She did it in a floor length ruffle collared purple dress and heels. Okay Fannie, I guess…

Mariah Carey’s new Lollipop Bling are sweet scents! The collection which hits stores this month also has a cool catch; each one is named after a Mariah Carey song.
Honey is a bright and fruity fragrance with a mix of its namesake and pineapple. Ribbon, probably the most subtle of the bunch, has floral base and is perfect for a summer date. Mine Again has a sweeter scent and has magnolia and chocolate raspberry.
My favorite? Honey. It’s light and fresh and lingers just long enough to create an air of mystery.
The eau de parfums are available in 1.0 fl oz. bottles for $35 at Macy’s and Macys.com. Dillards, Sephora and J.C. Penney will also retail the fragrances.
