The good, the bad, and the what the heck is that??? Here we go…
Check out the red carpet fashions of the fashionistas…and um fashionistos on the red carpet at the 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards.
Toya stands out at the Hoodie Awards.
Toya Carter is a wonderful young lady. As she matures she is really coming into her own. She is still “so-N’Awlins” butthis girl is really making it happen for herself. After browsing the shots of the Hoodie Awards, searching for just one person who had it completely together, my eyes fell on Toya.
Is Omarosa traveling the green mile for love?
Looks that way. Sources say Omarosa may be be making the ultimate “merger” with the ultimate big body, actor Michael Clarke Duncan, who is um…let’s just say more than a few years her senior.
The two looked mighty chummy at the 2010 Hoodie Awards in Las Vegas. But with Omarosa you never can tell, she seems just too much for anybody to handle.
Well it we can go by their body language, something’s up.
Well, Mr. Duncan ain’t n small fry, if anybody can tame this wild child he can. The question is, does he want to?
And about that melon of a dress Omarosa…NO!
Venus & Serena step out in style.
Nothing like sisterly love. Venus and Serena Williams showed just that at the USTA and Heineken’s 2010 US Open Player Party at the Empire Hotel. The stylish siblings looked lovely, and a I must say Serena is glowing. I don’t know if it’s the makeup or a new man but she looks great! Adrienne Bailon was there too, but A, you dress is a little too springy, but you still look nice. A And who knew Venus was so much taller than Serena?!
Ciara
Ciara usually looks great but we’re not sure about her fashion choices for the Power 105.1 Live Concert. She channeled her 80s rocker chick then hit the stage in some tattered rags that look like outcasts from the hit series Fame.
Clothes get pretty with ruffles.
Ruffles have ridges. From the runways of designers like Hugo Boss, Givenchy, Elie Tahari, and of course, the king Valentino, ruffles are stealing the scene for fall.
Always ladylike, ruffle detail gives garments an expensive, luxe look. Designers are adorning everything from dresses to trench coats, creating more feminine silhouettes for fall.
Gap and Banana Republic have used the blouse as a canvas to add ruffles, while White House Black Market is selling a sleek new leather jacket with ruffle detail. The Limited has a great selection of tops with ruffles as well, perfect for the price conscious fashionistas.
If you’re looking for a fresh twist on fall’s new looks, adorn your wardrobe with ruffles for a winning look.

Boss player style.
As an avid tennis player, I was impressed with this new Stella McCartney for Adidas tennis dress, $120. For those of us who like to look cute when we sweat, this just might work.

Gray Matters
Dania Ramirez took center stage at the AXE Lounge in Southampton, proving that gray is one of the season’s most inspiring colors– the new neutral. Often understated but nonetheless classic, gray is the perfect addition to your fall wardrobe.

Are you being played? If you’re in a relationship with a man and something just doesn’t seem quite right, it probably isn’t.
Too many times we ignore our gut feeling in hopes of magically making a situation out to be something that it isn’t. If you’re uncertain about you and your “man’s” future, he’re a few surefire ways to let you know you need to dump him and take you stilettos to the nearest exit.
1. He has limited communication with you. You have a cell phone number and email and that’s it. If you’ve been seeing a man for a while and have never been to his home or your don’t know where he works, honey you are being duped. Men with something to hide purposely leave women in the dark. Check him out, and if your findings are unfavorable (i.e. he’s married, gay, or both). Cut him off.
2. He only calls or sees you at night. You’re a booty call boo. Nothing more nothing less. You will not be his woman because he does not respect you enough to be with you in position that is not horizontal.
3. He is verbally, mentally or physically abusive. Do I really need to go into detail about why you need to get away from this man? This is a guaranteed trip to the ER, the funeral home, or an episode of Snapped.
4. He pulls disappearing acts. It’s possible for a man to let you into his life–well part of it and then disappear without giving it a second thought. If he’s gone suddenly on weekends or nights and you can’t reach him by phone during times of emergency or such. Chances are he’s got another life or a wife.
5. He’s never invited you to his home. This one is synonymous with number 1. But know off the bat, if it’s been a few months since you’ve been dating nad he never brings you to his house, girl you need to let that go and don’t look back. He’s got something going on and whatever it is, you don’t want to be a part of it.
